Each of the Treatment Centers licensed
to use Stemedica's technology follow a comprehensive set of treatment
protocols which have evolved from nearly three decades of on-going
patient treatment.
The Licensed Treatment Centers deploy the Stemedica CSP
(Condition Specific Protocols) treatment methodology which is
designed to treat patient specific medical conditions on a customized
basis. These protocols include: patient health and physiological
assessment; pre and post patient therapy; number and kind of
cells required for treatment; transplantation methodologies;
and, use of adjunct therapies including pharmaceutical compounds
and medical devices supportive to treatment.
The Stemedica CSP disciplines have been established after
the treatment of approximately 3,800 patients. Treatment experience
has come from both autologous (from the patient) stem cells
treatment as well as from allogenic (donated) cell therapies.
The protocols offered by Stemedica Licensed
Treatment Centers are non-surgical and therefore minimize
patient recovery time and risk from adverse treatment response.
Depending on the complexity and severity of the medical condition,
patients can benefit greatly from just one stem cell treatment
while others seek multiple treatments in order to maximize treatment
results.
Stemedica CSP provides a superior advantage in several critical areas, including:
Patient Preparation:
Stemedica uses established protocols for creating the optimal physiological environment and conditions in the patient prior to transplantation.
Multiple Cell Technology:
Formulated preparations are developed prior to transplantation
that combine cell lines that can achieve optimal therapeutic
outcomes for disease specific conditions. (Stemedica
MCT Formulations)
Number of Cells:
Stemedica incorporates a proprietary algorithm of cell density
in its CSP process. The number of cells used in treatment
as calculated by specific patient parameters and disease specific
conditions have a significant impact on treatment outcomes.
Transplantation Methodology:
Stemedica deploys customized protocols that define the injection instrumentation, support medications and monitoring equipment used to transplant cells in predetermined single or multiple transplantation sites.
Number of Treatments:
Stemedica has established an assessment and evaluation criteria for determining the number of treatments and the appropriate milestones between treatments.
Patient Therapy Management:
Stemedica has developed comprehensive protocols for pre
and post-treatment therapy, including: patient management
and monitoring; use of adjunct therapies; pharmaceutical compounds;
and, medical devices supportive to treatment.
The Company supports its protocols by
providing professional support services to its Licensed Treatment
Centers including: on-site medical and technical staff; standard
operating procedures; quality assurance standards; treatment protocols;
physician training; patient qualification and education; clinical
study development; and, marketing support.
