STEMEDICA EXPANDS GLOBALLY WITH INTERNATIONAL HEADQUARTERS IN SWITZERLAND
Stemedica Cell Technologies, Inc. USA, a leader in adult stem cell research and manufacturing, announced today the expansion of its global presence with the formation of Stemedica International S.A. headquartered in the Biopôle Technology and Business Park located in Epalinges, Switzerland near Lausanne.
DRIVEN BY 30 YEARS OF STEM CELL RESEARCH & SCIENTIFIC ADVANCEMENT
Stemedica's adult stem cell technology is based on thirty years of research and clinical experience conducted by researchers and clinicians in the former Soviet Union, Europe and the United States. The technology and scientific know-how advanced by these researchers and clinicians has either been acquired, or developed internally, by Stemedica.
To further substantiate these discoveries, and to continue to advance the science achieved by these leaders, Stemedica has established a laboratory and manufacturing facility in San Diego, California designed from the ground up to be fully cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices) compliant. Additional laboratory and manufacturing facilities have been established in Moscow, Russia and in Seoul, Korea.
Stemedica has built an experienced team of international and domestic scientists and medical professionals that have been involved for the past four years in extensive research and stem cell product development including; a) confirming the safety, reliability and efficacy of the Company's science and technology; b) advancing the Company's protocols for isolating, expanding, processing, manufacturing and master banking of stem cells; and, c) refining Stemedica's methodologies and protocols used in clinical applications.
Stemedica continues to advance its adult stem cell technology for current pre-clinical and future clinical studies in the United States and for on-going pre-clinical and clinical studies internationally.
ABOUT ADULT STEM CELLS
What are adult stem cells?
Adult stem cells are cells which have not completely differentiated. They are found in all tissues of the human body. Adult stem cells, also known as somatic stem cells, have the potential to transform themselves into practically all other cell types. Adult stem cells are at the heart of Stemedica's technology and research.
